Background

Hi :) I’m Anika, I grew up in Minnesota and then moved to the Bay to go to college at UC Berkeley. I majored in Political Economy, and professionally, I interned in equity research at Morgan Stanley, fintech investment banking at Bank of America, and finance at Tesla. After college, I worked at Bain for a year and a half in the private equity practice. During college I was also a part of a consulting organization that worked with different tech start-ups, and I always knew I would want to work at a tech start-up after consulting.

I live in SF, and I love enjoying the nature and good weather (no more Minnesota winters!). My perfect Saturday is a great cup of coffee, walking by the pier, and making dinner with my friends. I also enjoy traveling, my favorite place I went recently was Rio for Carnival!

My favorite meals

• 🥐 the Arsicault chocolate croissants in SF, I brave the Tenderloin to get these. There’s also a more popular Presidio location, but I’m too impatient to wait in line for two blocks
• 🍜 Imm Thai’s pad see ew in Berkeley, I would do anything for them to go public with their recipe
• 🍯 I love honey on anything, top picks are carrots, pizza (hot honey of course), and tea
• 🥘 My parents’ food, I asked if we could get take out for the first 18 years of my life only to miss my parents’ cooking everyday since

What I’ve been learning and reading about lately

• Snowboarding, I’m invested in learning this because I love skiing and it’s like skiing but I’ll look slightly cooler, disclaimer on my skill level the last time I tried I got a concussion not because I was on a hard run but because I tried to stop at the end of a green…
• Cooking different cuisines, I usually rotate through three comfort meals I love making, so I am trying to branch out beyond my go-to salmon bowl
• Poker, I played for the last time a week ago (very late bloomer), and I want to get better! Apparently I have many tells though
• Current events, I enjoy keeping up with current events which is the recovering high school debater in me lol

Get to know me a little better

A recent birthday trip to Joshua Tree, I love exploring new nature spots! Not pictured: my college friends that flew in from around the country :), even though we moved around the country we still somehow see each other every month

Hydra, Greece with my best friend Priya! Fun fact we have matching tattoos that we impromptu got our senior year of college and we now live together in SF
