Hi, I'm Grace!

I am originally from outside of Sacramento, CA. I grew up on a five acre property with a full-service hunter-jumper show barn, which was our family business, so needless to say I am a big animal lover! Growing up, I was fortunate enough to compete in hunter-jumpers (horseback riding) and play soccer and basketball, as well as learn the value of hard work through my first job of cleaning 10+ horse stalls every Sunday (a humbling experience).

After graduating high school, I attended Claremont McKenna College where I studied economics. I then moved to LA and began my career in management consulting - the role took me all over the country and fueled my love for travel. After three years in consulting, I joined a venture capital studio and fund called Redbud Brands, which incubates and invests in better-for-you consumer products startups. At Redbud, I led an incubation project (a supplement brand) and investor relations / fundraising. I also conducted due diligence on external investment opportunities for our fund. I am now back in the Sacramento area enjoying living closer to friends and family, although I’m considering a move to NYC this fall!

Outside of work, I love to do pilates reformer classes, spend time with friends and family, horseback ride, go on podcast walks, play tennis and pickleball, and explore new restaurants and coffee shops. I am also learning Spanish (to become trilingual), am a skincare enthusiast, love to ski, am a huge Sac Kings fan, and play Wordle every day!

My favorite meals

• Omakase: For those who don’t know, “omakase” is a Japanese word that translates to “I leave it up to you.” An omakase meal is usually 8+ courses and usually features unique ingredients and/or preparations. A couple of my favorite spots - MILA Omakase (Miami), Otoko (ATX).
• Homemade pesto: Pasta with pesto is the dinner I always requested for my birthday growing up, and is still one of my favorite dishes!
• Banana bread: I love to bake and banana bread is my favorite to make (and consume).

What I’ve been learning and reading about lately

• Gut health: I listen to a health/wellness podcast almost daily and have been enjoying learning more about the gut-brain connection and our gut health’s impact on everything from mood to skin.
• The food system
• Skincare and skin health
• Recent reads: American Dirt, Good to Great, Horse, and Thinking, Fast and Slow.
• Food-related shows I enjoy: The Bear, Top Chef, and Chef’s Table.
