Background

Hi there! I’m Hessam and I’m from Atlanta, GA but now live in San Francisco, CA with my girlfriend, Sarah. I grew up in a big Persian family and have one older sister who also works in product.

I went to Georgia Tech where I studied Finance. From there, I started my career in Investment Banking. After banking, I went to The Home Depot as a part of their Strategy and M&A team. There, I started Home Depot’s $150M venture fund and led a couple of Series A investments into 2 marketplace startups (that’s where my passion for marketplaces like Fay started). After Home Depot, I went to another Series A marketplace startup as their 1st PM.

In my free time, I am a soccer fanatic. I watch soccer, read about soccer, and play soccer / FIFA. My favorite team is Chelsea. Fun fact: I am in the top 1% of all FIFA players globally!

My favorite meals

• Everything Asian: Particularly Thai (Pad-see-ew), Japanese (Sushi), and Chinese (Dim Sum)
• Mediterranean: I love all sorts of Mediterranean cuisine including Greek, Persian, Lebanese, etc.
• High protein hack meals: I love making homemade meals that are high protein but taste like they are unhealthy. Ask me about my high protein cookie dough!

Get to know me a little better

I’m new to SF so I’m still a local tourist. I love exploring new areas across the entire Bay Area.

I went skiing for the first time in 2024 and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to conquer blues the next time I go out!
