All Things Payors!
Hey there! Kara from LA here, although I still identify as a New Yorker. I was born and raised on Long Island, went to college in Westchester and lived in Manhattan for almost 10 years after college, with a brief stint in Park Slope letting my inner hippie have her moment.
I moved to Santa Monica mid-pandemic and embraced all the sunshine has to offer - hiking, epic sunsets, adopting my first pup Harper (who lost 30 lbs under my nutrition plan!) and met my fiancé Robert. Together we have 3 dogs! 🙈
I started my career on the traditional side of healthcare, first at NYU Health System within the revenue cycle team and then at Aetna managing the NY network. I transitioned into the health tech space in 2019 when I joined Kindbody to help expand their payor contracts and ultimately build the fertility network, benefit and enterprise partnerships and then a sleep solution for employers at a company called Nox where I led their partner channels with brokers, consultants and payors.
I am so excited to partner with this incredible team to help the world learn how to eat and live better. I have been going to a nutritionist since 2004, which completely changed my life and even inspired me to get my health coaching degree in 2016.
Outside of my passion for improving healthcare and all things wellness, I love to travel with my friends (Italy and Big Sur are my favorites!), explore new restaurants, taking pictures on film cameras and ALL live music!
