Background

Hey there! ◡̈ I am was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and came to the US for high school (in Minnesota of all places), now 11 years ago! After spending four years in Minnesota, I escaped the cold and went to Philadelphia to go to UPenn, where I studied behavioral economics in Wharton.

After college, I came to New York City during Covid, and worked at Insight Partners, a venture capital firm that invests across the tech sector, for 2+ years. Since then, I had a brief stint at Headway, a behavioral health startup, and came to Fay to join this wonderful operations team!

At Fay, I spend most of my time sourcing providers, onboarding providers to Fay’s platform, and supporting existing providers via our provider support email (proud member of the Fay provider support team alongside Elizabeth and Michael). And now, I am starting to help out with payor contracts, and excited to help Fay expand into more states and insurances in the near future!

I currently live in NYC, right below central park (best known as “midtown” but I like to call it “central park south”). In my free time, I love going on bike rides and my weekly morning swims, watching sunsets, and finding the best restaurants, jazz bars, and cafes in town.

My favorite meals

• 🍣 Sushi: I am not a sushi connoisseur by any means, but I love some good sushi, especially omakase! Sugarfish is one of my favorites in the city, and Sushi by Bou is a pretty affordable omakase I recently went to and loved!
• 🤎 Mediterranean: Mediterranean is ranked #2 on my list for favorite cuisines. I love all the dips - muhammara, hummus, you name it, and my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in NYC are Laser Wolf, Eyval, Balaboosta, and Anixi!
• 🥘 Kimchi Stew: Kimchi Jjigae or Kimchi Stew is my favorite Korean dish, although I do need to work on my Korean cooking skills.

What I’ve been learning about lately

• 🇪🇸 Spanish: I was inspired after my trip to Puerto Rico and been on Duolingo ever since! (160+ day streak and ongoing)
• 🍽️ Intuitive Eating: I’ve been working on intuitive eating and meal prepping a more diverse set of foods, beyond my roasted veggie bowls!

Get to know me a little better

I spent a semester in Edinburgh, Scotland when I was in college. This was taken near where Harry Potter was filmed!

One of my favorite things to do is chasing sunsets on my bike. Got this gorgeous view at the reservoir at Central Park first week of September 😍
