Should you wish to proceed with applying for a TX license, here are a few pointers that might be helpful:

• Documents you will need BEFORE applying for a TX license:
  • CDR License verification
  • Successful completion the Texas Jurisprudence Examination.
    • Note: Exam completion is required within 30 days of registration. Exam and exam fee will BOTH expire after 30 days. Re-registration and re-payment will be required.
      1. Click the "Register/Pay" button for your exam
      2. Complete your payment of $34
      3. Create login ID and password
      4. Log in and begin your exam. Your certificate is available to print upon successful completion of your exam
• Complete the online application here by selecting “register as a new user” under the Apply for a New License section
  • If you are creating a new account, enter the required information and save your portal login information. You will receive an email confirmation of your account once saved.
  • Once you’ve confirmed your account and logged in:
    • Choose “Dietitian Program” and “Licensed Dietitian Initial Application” on the drop down menu and press select
  • Complete the form
  • In the “Attachments” section, upload your CDR licensure and proof of Texas Jurisprudence Examination, and submit $108 payment online
