Hi!

My name is Kyle and while originally from the ~~great~~ state of Indiana 🌽, you’ll see me dialing in on google meet from San Francisco. Despite some of the city’s rough spots I absolutely love this place. It’s such a fun combination of weird and beautiful. I live here with my amazing boyfriend Marq.

I studied computer science at Indiana University where I really fell in love with iOS development and software engineering in general. I built an app that over a quarter of my school used that helped students find cheap alcohol deals at local bars. Ask me more about that if you’re interested! I love talking about that time in my life haha

Since then I’m coming from a health tech startup, Tia, where I was the 2nd iOS engineer and the 23rd employee. I absolutely love startups and it seems that I have a habit of joining around the 20 people mark. I’ve also built a couple startups on my own but nothing that really got off the ground as much as I would have hoped 🫣.

My favorite meals

BBQ - Hillstone in San Francisco has amazing BBQ ribs. I really need to make it back to Texas at some point because wow they have amazing BBQ.
Whatever Marq makes - Marq is the cook in our house and he just goes wild with different foods. His go to is generally pork chops or stuff chicken breast
Sweets - While Marq is the cook, I'm more of a baker and love making cakes, brownies cookies etc. I’m generally good at following instructions while he is not 🤫

What I’ve been learning and reading about lately

Apple Intelligence - As the Apple fanboy I'm really excited to see how this changes app development. There could be a really cool paradigm shift where apps become more like API’s and have less user interfaces which is super interesting. This is of course made possible through the new Siri, and App Intents framework.
AI - I follow so many different AI accounts & newsletters. I am planning to try out some local AI models just to learn more about how they work.

We’re dedicating our life to helping people obtain help with their nutrition from a Registered Dietitian covered by their insurance. We hope to be the unsung heroes in the background, putting the needs of dietitians and their clients above all else.
