Background

Hi there! I’m Jeremy, I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and I unapologetically wear California on my sleeve.. Trail running, backpacking, surfing — these are my happy places. So why am I living in Brooklyn? I’m the middle of three boys, somehow we’re all here in NYC (for now), and so is my community from Brown University.

I’m a proud Brunonian, former D1 athlete (Cross Country / Track & Field), and huge proponent of Brown’s open curriculum, which freed me to explore my academic interests across 19 different departments and ultimately concentrate in the common thread: Social Entrepreneurship. This DIY “study what you love” mentality has directly informed my career path to-date, from Big Tech at LinkedIn to pre-seed AI startup to GoodRx. With each experience, I’ve been building my own path toward something I really, truly care about. I think I’ve found it here at Fay.

Off the clock, you’ll find me jogging around Williamsburg, playing cards at breweries that don’t serve gluten-free beers yet and trying to convince them to (I’m Celiac!), or finding any excuse to adventure on the West Coast.

My favorite meals

🌮 Tacos: I will never say no to tacos. They’re celiac-friendly, provide unbeatable bang-for-the-buck, and there’s just something special about food you can hold in your hand. I swear by the Al Pastor at Taqueria Ramirez in Greenpoint — best in NYC and I will die on that hill.
👩‍🍳 My mom’s home cooking: Sappy, I know, but true. My mom is an amazing cook, and the healthy meals she raised my brothers and I on growing up are likely a big reason why I’m here at Fay in the first place. One of my favorite summer dishes she makes: grilled peaches stuffed with whipped honey ricotta and topped with fresh basil. Yum!
🥣 Cereal & milk: I fully acknowledge and own that cereal is not - and should not be - considered a “meal.” But god it’s good! I think pouring a bowl of Corn Chex at any hour of the day is totally normal and should be more widely accepted.

What I’ve been learning and reading about lately

Bikepacking: As much as I’ve backpacked on foot, I’ve never tried bikepacking, and I’m planning to attempt the Sun Valley High Country Loop with a few close friends later this year. I’m super curious about balance and how to account for sleeping bags, tents, food, etc. on the bike.
Theatre: I’ve never considered myself a theatre buff in any way, shape, or form. And then I saw Operation Mincemeat and Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway recently and I’m totally hooked. So now I’m learning more about how these productions come together, what a day in the life of a Broadway star looks like, and all that fun stuff. Who knew!
How to be Celiac: I was only diagnosed with celiac disease in late 2023, so I’m still relatively new to the whole thing and how to make it work for me. Soy sauce, gravy, fries — you’ll see me call a menu huddle with the wait staff at our next team dinner :)
