Background

Hi! 👋

I was born in a small country called Azerbaijan, but have spent most of my life in the USA. My dad was a diplomat, and so my family moved around quite a bit. We’ve spent time in New York City, Washington D.C., and Phoenix. My mom is a doctor and was working towards becoming a practicing physician in the USA, and so eventually our family settled in Arizona.

Arizona is also where I went to college. I started by pursuing Finance and Economics. Over time, I realized that I enjoyed the more quantitative and coding-oriented projects, and so I switched to a Math major. Thereafter, I completed my Master’s in Computer Science at Stanford in 2018, and began working as a software engineer.

I have always been interested in startups, and have enjoyed joining and building from a very early stage at each of my startups. Fay is by far the biggest company I’ve joined, though not the largest one I’ve worked at (yet)!
