Hi 👋 my name is Lucy, and I grew up in St Louis, Missouri. I went to school at Northwestern University (just outside of Chicago) where I majored in journalism with a minor in sociology and marketing. While I love the midwest, I always dreamed of living in a ~big city~, so I moved to New York after graduation. I will have lived here 6 years in August!

Though I’m super thankful for the skills I learned in journalism school (talking to strangers, asking good questions, research, storytelling), I decided to pivot after graduation and took on a business analyst role at Walmart eCommerce. Since then, I’ve spent the bulk of my career in growth marketing at startups in the health and wellness space. I love figuring out how and where to speak to customers. I’m excited to use my experience to promote sustainable, personalized nutrition solutions at Fay!

Outside of work I love tennis (both watching and playing), reality TV shows (Housewives <3), workout classes, reading, listening to podcasts, and being chronically online (trying to fix this one…). One of my favorite organizations I’ve joined in NYC is Minds Matter. MM is a weekly mentoring program that helps low-income high school students prepare and apply for college! I have two mentees who will be seniors in the fall 😱.

My favorite meals 🍽️

🧁 DESSERT — I have a huge sweet tooth. I love cookies, brownies, ice cream, cake, chocolate, anything sugary… right now, my favorite chocolate chip cookie is from this new bakery Hani’s in the East Village.
🍕 Pizza — While an NY-style slice always hits the spot, my favorite type of pizza is Neapolitan style. The crust is so fluffy and chewy and good.
🍲 Bibimbap — Bibimbap is the perfect meal IMO (lots of veggies, carbs, protein). My favorite part is the rice that gets crispy from the hot stone bowl. Korean food in general is top notch.

What I’ve been learning and reading about lately 📝

Reading — Add me on Goodreads! My goal is to read 20+ books a year, and I’ve hit it the last two. I love reading contemporary fiction. Recently, I’ve enjoyed Station Eleven by Emily St. John and Severance by Ling Ma.
Professional Tennis — I love keeping up with the pro tennis tour, and I’m continually fascinated by the intricacies, strategies, and inner workings of the game at the elite level. I think The Athletic has great coverage, and I enjoy listening to retired-pro Andy Roddick’s perspective on his podcast Served.
Chess — I started learning/playing for the first time this year. It’s so addictive! For now, I’m just learning by playing, doing puzzles, and taking “lessons” in the Chess.com app.

We’re dedicating our lives to helping people improve their nutrition with a Registered Dietitian covered by insurance. We hope to be the unsung heroes in the background, putting the needs of dietitians and their clients above all else.
